Jobs Overview
The Jobs section is a valuable tool for English-speaking residents of Vietnam. Businesses, organizations, families, and individuals can all use it to find qualified individuals ready to fill any available position.
Those living in Vietnam and looking for employment will find a wide variety of job opportunities at all levels of compensation and expected qualification.
For those looking for employment, you’ll find that jobs are broken down by category (what sort of field you’d be working in) and by employment type (full time, part time, volunteer, etc.). If you wish to post a “Seeking Empoyment” ad, please post it in the appropriate Classifieds section.
For those looking to post a job ad, simply visit the Jobs section and look for this:
Your job ad will allow you to present all the essential details of the available position and the ad will run for one month. Before you get started, however, it would be a good idea to read over the Job posting guidelines:
- Avoid posting duplicate ads throughout the section. Duplicate ads frustrate job seekers in the TNH Jobs section and unfairly punish those who use the section responsibly. We understand that the urgency of your open position may lead you to want to repost your ad in order to “bump” it to the top of the list, but you must always remove existing ads before re-posting. We will allow you to delete old ads and repost a new version of it to move up the list, but you should remember that even this sort of activity may be viewed negatively by the TNH community. A job seeker who has previously seen your ad and deemed it inappropriate for their needs may feel that your frequent re-posting is an annoyance and interferes with their subsequent searches.
- It is acceptable to for a business, organization, or individual to post multiple ads, provided that each ad is for a distinctly different position. When making these multiple ads, the poster must be very clear about the individual requirements and opportunities present for each position. No reference may be made to the other positions that other ads have been posted for. Also, it is not acceptable to post a general ad stating that your business is looking to hire for multiple positions, only to later post different ads for each individual position. If you are going to post a general ad for your business, you may not subsequently post individual ads for each specific position as it arises.
- The TNH jobs section is only for open positions. Individuals seeking employment may not post their availability there. Likewise, individuals offering services may not post ads in the TNH Jobs section. If you are seeking employment, you may create a Classifieds ad for yourself. If you are a service provider, use the Add a Spot to the Directory link in the footer of the site to give yourself a proper listing.
- To ensure optimum effectiveness of your job ad make sure that your business has been entered into the TNH business directory. You can do this by clicking on the Add a Spot to the Directory link in the footer of any site page or by clicking on the Add a Spot link on the Top Spots page. Once your business is formally listed, you will now be able to link to its Spot page in your Job ad. To do this, simply select your Spot from the drop down menu when entering “Company Name” in your job ad.
